Drop, capacity, and keep-or-sell route

Magic Loot Looting Guide

Defeat a Dungeon enemy, read each drop’s name, rarity, and visible Coins value, then press E to pick it up. Because every item uses Backpack capacity, prioritize a new Materials Index entry or tracked Alchemy ingredient before an unneeded repeat, Return near the limit, and decide what to claim, keep, or sell.

Drop → pick up → Return → decide. The confirmed route starts with visible ground information and ends with an Index, Alchemy, or Sell choice. It is not a drop-rate formula.

How Looting works

The confirmed Looting loop is a sequence of player choices, not a proven character stat.

  1. Defeat an enemy inside the Dungeon. A material can appear on the ground after the enemy is defeated.
  2. Read the label above the drop. Current footage shows its English name, rarity, and a Coins value before pickup.
  3. Move close enough for the E Pick up prompt, then press E. The Backpack counter increases and the item uses one capacity slot.
  4. Use Return before a full Backpack prevents the route from bringing home another useful material.
  5. In the Hub, check whether the item is new to the Materials Index or needed by the Alchemy Formula you are following.
  6. Claim a completed Index milestone, keep a needed ingredient, or sell an unneeded material for Coins.

The ground label helps compare immediate choices, but it does not reveal drop rate or prove a complete keep-or-sell ranking.

Choose a drop before the Backpack fills

Use this priority when several drops compete for limited capacity:

PriorityPick it whenWhyBoundary
New Index material The Materials Index still shows the entry as undiscovered. A first discovery advances the Materials collection and can complete a milestone. The full milestone sequence and maximum Backpack capacity are not confirmed.
Tracked Formula material The item is marked for the Potion Formula currently starred in Alchemy. Keeping it moves a chosen brew forward instead of converting every run directly into Coins. The star marks required materials; it is not confirmed as automatic pickup or sale protection.
Visible ground value Index and Formula needs are covered and the run is for selling. The label gives a visible comparison before one slot is committed. Rarity alone does not prove the material is better for every use.

One Aug 1 sample showed these labels at the same point in a run:

MaterialRarityVisible ground value
Goblin FingerUncommon80 Coins
Copper EarringUncommon160 Coins
CoconutRare1.35K Coins

These are UI examples, not a complete Materials list or evidence of any item’s drop rate. The sample also does not prove that every Rare item should be sold ahead of every Uncommon ingredient.

Increase capacity through the Materials Index

Two independent videos show the same confirmed capacity route:

  1. Open Index, then the Materials tab in Collection Index.
  2. Note an undiscovered ??? entry and the next visible milestone.
  3. Enter the Dungeon and pick up a material that was not already discovered.
  4. Return to the Hub and reopen Collection Index.
  5. When the milestone reward is ready, select Claim.
  6. In both samples, Backpack capacity increased from 4 to 5.

The 40 total is a version snapshot from those recordings, not a permanent database value. Collection Index also has a separate Potions tab, but the available footage does not confirm its total entries, milestone sequence, or whether its milestones use the same capacity reward.

Pick the route for the current goal

Index-first route

Use this route while capacity is the clearest limit.

  1. Open Materials Index and note the undiscovered entries and next milestone.
  2. Enter a Dungeon Stage where enemies can be defeated consistently.
  3. Prioritize a previously undiscovered material even when another drop shows a higher Coins value.
  4. Return after completing the milestone and select Claim.
  5. Use any confirmed new Backpack slot on the next run.

Do not name a single best Stage from the current evidence. Moving higher is useful only while enemies remain practical to defeat; the sources do not provide a complete Stage drop or output table.

Formula-first keep-or-sell route

Use this route when a specific Potion is the goal.

  1. Star the target Formula in Alchemy.
  2. In the Dungeon, prioritize an undiscovered material and any matching marked ingredient.
  3. Return before capacity blocks another useful pickup.
  4. Keep the ingredients required by the active Formula.
  5. Consider selling low-value repeats that are not needed for the current Formula.
  6. Brew when the displayed requirements are complete, then choose the next Formula before the next run.

The star helps identify Formula materials. Current footage does not prove that it locks those items against Sell or Sell All, so check them before selling.

Stable-clear route

Use this route when the main goal is a repeatable supply of materials or Coins.

  1. Choose a Stage where enemies can be defeated steadily rather than chasing an unverified “best Loot” claim.
  2. Prioritize new Index entries, tracked Formula materials, then useful visible value.
  3. Return as capacity approaches its limit.
  4. Process the run through Index, Alchemy, and Sell, then repeat.
  5. Move higher only when the next Stage does not make clear speed impractical.

One guide recommends using the Broom with F for faster Dungeon travel when it is already unlocked. No reviewed source provides its speed, unlock rule, or a timing comparison, so it is an optional route note rather than a requirement.

Lucky and Super Lucky limits

Aug 9 Dino Event Shop footage confirms two event-window listings:

ItemRarityStock shownPrice shown
Lucky PotionUncommon2020 Event Coins
Super Lucky PotionRare10100 Event Coins

The footage confirms that Lucky Potion could be collected from that shop. It does not show a Luck multiplier, duration, stacking rule, affected drop table, or measured result for either Potion. The event shop is time-limited evidence and may no longer be available.

Is there a separate Looting stat?

No separate Looting stat is confirmed by the current source set. None of the five reviewed gameplay videos shows a Looting upgrade panel, attribute row, level, multiplier, or purchase point.

The circular-arrow value in the lower-left HUD is Rebirth, not Looting. “Looting” in a creator title describes the activity of finding materials and expanding capacity. This evidence is not enough to claim that a separate Looting stat exists, and it is also not enough to prove one can never exist in another version.

Frequently asked questions

How do I increase Backpack capacity?

Discover new materials to advance Materials Index. When the visible milestone is complete, Return to the Hub, open Collection Index, and select Claim. Two recordings show a Materials milestone increasing capacity from 4 to 5.

Should I sell every material?

No. Materials can be sold for Coins or kept for Alchemy. Star a target Formula, keep its marked ingredients, and only then decide which repeats are unneeded.

Can I see rarity and value before pickup?

Yes. Current footage shows the English item name, rarity, and Coins value above a ground drop beside the E Pick up prompt.

How much does Lucky Potion improve drop rate?

The current evidence does not answer that. It confirms the event-shop item and price, but not its multiplier, duration, affected drops, or measured change.

Is the lower-left circular-arrow number Looting level?

No. The reviewed UI identifies that value as Rebirth. No separate Looting level is visible in the current source set.

Does Materials Index always have 40 entries?

Both Aug 1 and Aug 6 recordings showed 40, but that is a version snapshot. An update can change the total.

Verification boundary

This guide publishes the visible drop label, manual pickup, Backpack use, Return flow, Materials Index claim, Alchemy tracking, and event-shop listings observed through Aug 10, 2026. It does not publish drop rates, Luck multipliers or duration, a best Stage, a full Materials list, every capacity milestone, maximum Backpack size, Potions Index rewards, a Looting level, or the behavior of unpicked drops when capacity is full because the reviewed evidence does not confirm them.

This page includes the full 0:48 Ricoko Tutorial & Showcase video beside the Materials Index capacity flow. No third-party screenshots are published on this page; the route map above remains a plain-language summary of the confirmed actions.

Sources and verification

Sources include the official Roblox experience and gameplay footage published from Aug 1–10, 2026. UI labels and before/after states support the confirmed flow; creator route suggestions remain advice.
